Does anyone else think they move at the most inopportune times? It seems that now that I've resettled again, I've been asked to numerous events in my previous abodes. I guess I'll just reminisce instead... and maybe mope a little.

Winter Layering

Exciting news! I will now no longer have any snow pictures (that's totally a lie, there will be at least one more post with snow). I've officially relocated to Vancouver – a haven of greenery despite Canada's harsh winters.

While I say I won't be posting so many snowy photos anymore, I don't know how true that is, as I seem to have brought the snow to Vancouver with me. Just call me Elsa (maybe I should go blonde?)?

Nothing is more suited for the romantic hallmark holiday than a beautiful dress, and I've been wanting this Self Portrait piece for awhile now.

The weather is slowly warming up (I swear we've been going from balmy spring days, to sudden cold snaps for the last couple weeks), which means light knits and my favourite culottes. This outfit is so simple, and has been on rotation for basically all my lazy, but still need to look fashionable days – but to be honest, it's rather bland by itself. I wore something similar awhile back with a statement jacket, but this time I've opted for something a little more cozy and true to Uniqlo's minimalist style.

The Lace-Up Sweater (and a mini review of Zaful)

2016's trends of lace-up shirts and knits, and statement sleeves has followed me into the new year. This lace-up sweater from Zaful followed me back to Korea, was worn often in Vancouver (gotta love living out of a carry-on), and is still on weekly rotation here in Calgary. 

The Feather Skirt

Happy New Year everyone! I've been loving playing with different textures in 2016, and I'm sure that will continue in 2017. To start – a new purchase I've wanted for a long time – a feather skirt!

It's taken a while to find the perfect one at the perfect price, but Club Monaco never lets me down during their Boxing Week sales. 

Of course, I've already managed to rip a few feathers off during a new years party, so I'm a little wary about wearing it again. I promise it won't just be sitting in my closet though – I have a lot of outfit ideas for it, just no going to parties anymore. 

Even though it looks cold here, it really wasn't, so I couldn't help but drag a friend outside to take pictures of the falling snow. It's so pretty, right? And it's much more worthwhile to take pics in the snow than on a frigidly cold day with slush on the ground (if you follow me on Snapchat or Instagram, you know what I was doing today). I added a jacket and scarf just in case (I swear, my legs are the last to feel the cold) but I really didn't need them. I love the combination of leather jacket and soft feathers and wool. It adds a bit of structure and edge (otherwise known as streetstyle, right?) to an otherwise very soft and feminine outfit.

I'll be leaving for Korea again on Sunday (it's always good to start a new year on a 12 hour flight), and I'm so excited to see my friends again (and make them take pictures hehe) for a couple of weeks. I may also be thinking about going ash blonde while I'm there. Any thoughts?
