Pantone's Colour of the Year: Greenery

Pantone's colour of the year has been announced for 2017. Representing "new beginnings" and ultimately hope. Because after 2016, we need some more hope. Greenery is a fresh vibrant colour, reminiscent of new leaves in the spring and the lush outdoors. But is it too vibrant?

While we saw Rose Quartz and Serenity everywhere from fashion to interior design to makeup, Greenery may be a harder colour to pull off. Marsala took over the beauty and fashion world, while Rose Quartz and Serenity took over the runway. Where do you think we'll be seeing Greenery next year?

Personally, I think it'll be used in patterns and accessories – an accent colour for most people. However, deeper, more emerald shades will make lovely statement pieces – sweaters, jackets, skirts... the list could go on. I know the designers are creative, so I'm looking forward to seeing how they work with it (especially Gucci, Mary Katrantzou, and Anna Sui).
