I love the idea of layering, but to be honest, I'm not the best at it. For awhile, I've been searching for the perfect sweatshirt to layer over dresses and tops – not too bulky, but still has shape, not cropped too high, etc. etc. I found this on sale at Aritzia (my favourite store to get basics from) and it's nearly perfect.
Layering a sweater over an oxford dress imparts such a classic, school girl look, that remains youthful, but still professional. It's also my favourite way to winterize this particular dress. The sweater over oxford shirt (or shirt dress in my case) just makes me feel like Hermione, especially when my hair is a mess. Bad hair day? It's okay, I'm Hermione in disguise, right?

Super cute! What did you wear under it though? The wind here is horrendous, it's hard wearing skirts at all sometimes.
ReplyDeletelove the pop of blue your bag gives! :)

Thanks! I wish they were a couple inches taller, since they tend to fall down to below the knee, rather than just above.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Eni!
ReplyDeleteThanks Madame! It means a lot! (PS, I love your name!)
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteI'll give it a shot, I might be late
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Kate. It means a lot!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kacie!
ReplyDeleteThank you Michelle!
ReplyDeleteThanks Gina. I don't have to deal with wind usually with this dress as the fabric is heavier, but for my chiffon skirts that tend to blow up, I have a pair of sports shorts to wear under.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!
ReplyDeleteThanks Inez!
ReplyDeleteThanks Laura! I'm so happy to have a sweater that's just meant to be layered.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mel!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jordan. It's really funny, because this colour is the only reason I shelled out for a Celine. I just couldn't get the cobalt out of my head when I first saw it (and while I love the shape, the rest of the colours aren't as nice in my opinion)!
ReplyDeleteThanks Chioma!
