Happy lunar new year! Well, slightly belated new year by the time this is posted. It's the year of the sheep, which is supposed to be a hopeful year full of positive changes (but I think horoscopes say that every year, so it'll be what you make it to be). Either way, I hope we all have a prosperous and happy year with good health!
Two of my favourite things are lucky this time of year – wearing red, and buying and wearing new clothes. While I normally wear my favourite Club Monaco jacket when I head out to celebrate, I wanted to put together a new outfit that would stand alone without the jacket and still feature the lucky colour. Trumpet skirts are an old favourite of mine and in regular rotation in my wardrobe, and paring it with my lace blouse reminds me of this Three Floor dress I as thinking about buying. Guess I don't need to now. I ended up being ever so slightly overdressed for hotpot with friends, but oh well. That's hardly new for me.
As far as shopping went, you'll have to wait and see what I bought, but I think I look adorable. They're probably a dying trend leftover from last year, but I'm still obsessed. Any guesses on what I bought?
