While winter has worked its way to the rest of Canada, it hasn't quite hit the West Coast yet (thankfully). I've put together my favorite fall trends that I'll be carrying into winter with me.
Camel Tones
Camel tones are my favorite for fall, and I'm not going to lie, I'm always on the hunt for new pieces. New jackets, berets, pants and sweaters. The Chriselle Lim Collection made every camel wish of mine come true, with gorgeous fitted pieces that will last a lifetime. I paired it with a geometric bag to breakup the monotone look.
Rust tones
My second favorite colour for fall. I say second because I wear rust tones well into the spring. They're the perfect colour for keeping that warm summer glow in your skin, even when your tan has faded.
The Plaid Blazer
Another classic. This menswear inspired piece is a staple in my fall closet, although I admit that I tend to put it away by the time winter has made its appearance. The fuchsia piping on the Chriselle Lim Collection plaid blazer has me keeping it in my regular rotation to add a splash of spring to the grey winters though.
The Fall Dress
When the weather gets cold, just add tights. In the fall, I switch to my trusty waterproof chelsea boots, a pair of tights when I can't brave the cold in bare legs, and a sweater or blazer layered over my summer minis. The long sleeves and rusty tones of this Sea New York dress make it perfect for fall, while this ruffled lilac dress is the perfect piece to wear with a pair of tights and booties.
Culottes
My favourite transitional piece between seasons, and one of the most flattering cuts in my opinion. Flowing culottes are my favourite no matter where I am - a castle in Victoria, a traditional Chinese courtyard or even the beach. Pair with a pair of sock boots once it's colder to keep those bare ankles covered and warm.
