Happy Valentine's Day! To celebrate, the boy and I will be spending the day at the Vancouver Aquarium, and the weekend at the new Takashi Murakami exhibit at the Vancouver Art Gallery.
As we'll be walking a lot, I chose something comfortable (thick-heeled boots are a godsend), and of course, pink and red for those Valentine's Day feels.
Pair with a beret for a cute, French inspired look, perfect for any art gallery!
Need last-minute Valentine's Day outfit inspiration? Here are my favorite elements for the perfect Valentine's outfit!
1. Go cute and cozy with an oversized sweater. Want to be on trend for 2018? Wear a sweater with sleeve details! I choose this balloon sleeve sweater to emphasize the cozy, but you can choose frilled sleeves or bell sleeves for a more feminine feel.
2. Pair pink and red. Despite what "What Not to Wear" has told us, pink and red do complement each other, and don't clash. My favorite is pairing blush pink with a burgundy or orange-toned red.
3. GLOW - fresh skin is in, and needless to say, I am not shy with the highlighter (as seen in that first photo) in an effort to get that Korean glass skin look.
4. Go French! What's more romantic than a day in Paris? Accessorize with a beret to add a bit of Parisian flair to your Valentine's Day look!
5. Keep comfy! Is your date planning your date? You might want to wear a pair of comfortable shoes if you don't know whether you'll be doing an activity, or being wined and dined. My personal favorite are a pair of cute booties with a thick heel, as they'll match nearly any outfit.
