2016's trends of lace-up shirts and knits, and statement sleeves has followed me into the new year. This lace-up sweater from Zaful followed me back to Korea, was worn often in Vancouver (gotta love living out of a carry-on), and is still on weekly rotation here in Calgary.
I'm a sucker for v-line tops and details around the neck since I feel like they're more flattering than any other neckline on me. A v-line is super flattering for those of us less endowed in the breast department, as it draws the eye down. Due to the thick lacing, even though this particular sweater has a deep neckline, it's still quite modest looking and fine for a casual work environment. Not to mention how soft and warm it is! Is it any wonder why I want to wear it everyday given the sudden temperature drop again?
I paired it with a short dress (layers add extra warmth in Korea's and Vancouver's humid climates), dark denim, and of course my favourite over the knee boots. I actually wore the exact same outfit multiple times in Korea, and took photos. Unfortunately, there's an issue with my new mac reformatting my SD card, and the photos were erased. You can see some of the early photos on Instagram still, but I didn't transfer enough via my phone for a full blog post, and had to reshoot in Calgary.
