As the temperature drops the layers are starting to add up. It's actually -25ºC here this week, so this outfit really isn't even applicable anymore. No more bare legs for the season, that's for sure. I took this last week, on one of the last warmish days to attend a few craft fairs downtown (it's something my mom really got into this year).
This blanket scarf has been in my travel arsenal since last year, but I've rarely used it outside of an airport or train. It came out a few times during the winter in Korea as it's versatility allows me to fold it up, and wrap it around my neck and face to keep the most bitter of winds out.
I actually plan on wearing it a lot more come spring, since I've discovered how perfect it is for adding an extra bit of warmth over a sweater, without having to deal with your sleeves getting shoved up to your shoulders when you're trying to put on a lightweight jacket (anyone else frustrated by this this winter?). Besides, Olivia Palermo wears ponchos and giant scarves all the time, so obviously it's the perfect accessory during transitional seasons.
What are your favourite items for wearing to the airport? Or for that transition from summer heat to bitter cold?
Top: COS (similar here)
