The perfect shoes to play D&D and heading out to Peters' for milkshakes at midnight

Another semester has started and 9 am classes do not make for a very fashionable Arielle. With classes this early, I try to keep my hair, makeup, and outfits simple. A pair of dark, skinny jeans are my usual go-to with a sweater dress or tunic, but I wanted to switch things up a bit this year.

I decided to take some inspiration from Aimee and Dani Song's Instagrams, and wrapped a plaid shirt around my waist to jazz up the ensemble a bit. Normally when I wear such a simple outfit (jeans and a sweater, or jeans and a t-shirt), I need to load up on accessories, but I simply can't think so early in the morning. The added layer adds a bit of interest with minimal effort, which made up for the lack of arm candy in my mind.

  1. I love the idea of wrapping a shirt around one's waist to add layers. I think I'll have to try that!

    1. You definitely should. It's the easiest way to do it, perfect for early mornings.

  2. The colors you're wearing work so well together. :) Question--are you really able to wear open toe shoes in the snow? My feet would get so cold!

    1. Thanks! Wearing peep-toes is okay as long as there is no snow on the ground, and if you're going to be indoors most of the day. It's gotten pretty warm this week compared to the beginning of the month, so I haven't actually had too much trouble wearing skimpier shoes.

    1. Oh wow, 7:30 is so early! I've had 8 am classes before, but I swore never to take one again, so 9 am is the earliest I'll do.
